Further Confirmation That Anwar & PKR Do Not Know Or Care About Sarawak & Sabah

PKR risks irrelevance in Sabah and Sarawak
Joe Fernandez | February 13, 2011 Free Malaysia Today

Anwar Ibrahim has made far too many mistakes in the two states
PETALING JAYA: No matter how one looks at the political situation in Sabah and Sarawak, PKR risks irrelevance there. Its continuing spin on Pakatan Rakyat’s agenda for change and reform will never work in the two states because it excludes the Borneo Agenda.

Wahab was and is still Matu/Daro rep for the last 27 years. Yes for the last 27 years these 22 units of "old dilapidated pasar kayu of Matu" are still there until to this date!

Miri Marriot 'Confidential'? (Part 2)

KUCHING: Something big is being planned to take place on February 20, 2011, i.e. this Sunday.

If it is successfully executed, it could lead to a big change in the political landscape in Sarawak.

In another words, it could cause a historic event to take place in Sarawak that would change our local politics.

Based on the agreed plan which was concocted during the meeting at the Marriot Hotel in Miri, a big gathering is to take place at Padang Merdeka in Kuching.

PERSB to contest all state seats

BINTULU: The yet-to-be registered Parti Ekonomi Rakyat Sarawak Bersatu (PERSB) has identified some 38 potentials candidates to contest in the state election which is due by July this year.

Its protem committee president Salleh Malahi said PERSB was ready to contest in all 71 state seats and even the 31 parliamentary seats if a snap general election was to be called.

He added that since they had not received approval from the Registrar of Society (ROS) for the party's registration, the party's candidates would either contest as PERSB members or united independents.

I don't know who is lying but Daud knows, says Abang Johari

Posted on February 14, 2011, Monday

KUCHING: PBB deputy president Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg had a hard time answering questions from reporters on the claim made by a party vice-president Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman recently.

Although Daud had clarified in a news portal that his statement that certain BN assemblymen had lied to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak during an interview session recently in Miri was wrongly interpreted by the printed media, it did not stop the printed media from attempting to get comments from Abang Johari yesterday at Kampung Samariang Baru here.

“Ask Daud who was lying … how would I know … it is Daud who knows,” he told the press after visiting a jetty and building project site yesterday.

N7 Samariang: CM still likes me, says Hasidah

KUCHING: Some Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) members of Samariang branch are wondering whether the current assemblywoman YB Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali is to be retained to defend the seat.

Although YB Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali has been going around to convince her constituents that she would defend the seat for the second term, some are not convinced.

Her self-appointed information chief Ahmad Mansor has gone to great length to convince the party members that the party president Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud still wants YB Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali to be the people's representative for the Samariang constituency.

However, it seems that all of her efforts have failed to produce the desired result.

N58 Jepak: Talip is wary of Asfia's money

BINTULU: Jepak assemblyman Datuk Talip Zulpilip is now very wary of his fellow colleague in Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu.

He is not afraid of rumours any rumours that he would not be picked as a candidate in the coming state election.

Datuk Talip Zulpilip is very confident that the party president Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud still wants him to defend the seat despite of him having an arrogant attitude when dealing with people's problem.

As a matter of fact, what matters to him is how Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud thinks about him and not what the constituents or members of the public have to say about him.

UBF: Umno-led Barisan Nasional reduces local politicians and communities to mere by-standers

Pairin defends Umno which once ousted him
Michael Kaung | January 26, 2011

Two former CMs lock horns over 'neutered' role of BN component parties.

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president Joseph Pairin Kitigan has countered opposition criticism that the Umno-led Barisan Nasional government has reduced local politicians and communities to mere by-standers.

“Everyone in BN has been working hard together for the people,” said Pairin, who is Deputy Chief Minister and also Infrastructure Development Minister.

He said that claims by the opposition that leaders from the Kadazandusun Murut communities were at a disadvantage in the BN were nonsense.

Daud, thanks for the land title

KUCHING: The problems faced by villagers in Tupon area regarding their native customary rights (NCR) land titles were solved yesterday with the issuance of land titles by their elected representative Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman.

Some 600 villagers smiled on receiving the green slips. They were from Kampung Gita Tengah, Kampung Gita Laut, Kampung Gita Lama, Kampung Gita Baru, Kampung Tupong Ulu, Kampung Tupong Tengah, Kampung Tupong Batu, Kampung Sinjan, Kampung Tanjong, Kampung Sungai Bedil and Kampung Lintang.

Daud said all procedures - even if lengthy - must be followed to ensure no hitch in getting their land titles.

"The last batch of land titles received their titles in 2001, but we must remember that the process then was different from today's. Proper measurement must be taken so that no party was given the short end of the deal," Daud said at a handover ceremony here yesterday.

Is Baru trying to tell SNAP to quit from PR???

We were surprised when we saw this posting in a blog belonged to the PKR Sarawak chairman Baru Bian.

What does it mean?

Thursday, January 27, 2011

First, SNAP says it is leaving Pakatan Rakyat. Then it says it is joining UBF, another political platform. Then it says it is definitely in Pakatan Rakyat. But then its leadership goes to KL to attend the launching of KITA. Then it announces that it is still within Pakatan Rakyat. Paul Kadang says one thing. Anthony Liman says another. Then Stanley Jugol contradicts both of them. And as for the President, Edwin Dundang? He says nothing. What is going on SNAP?

SNAP: We are not leaving PR

KUCHING: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) can now breathe a sigh of relief as Sarawak National Party (SNAP) is not leaving the coalition.

SNAP secretary general Edmund Stanley Jugol said the party has no intention to leave PR at all, contrary to recent media reports.

He told a media conference yesterday that the decision of SNAP joining United Borneo Front (UBF) has nothing to do with the party wanting to dissociate itself from PR.

"To say that we are leaving PR is not true, when we decided to join UBF it is just because we have a common ideology with our counterparts from Sabah to fight for equal rights for the people of both state," Jugol explained.
