Timah...o...Timah... What did you do during your first term as YB?!

She was lucky to win the state election this month because apparently she didn't perform her duty as an elected representative in her first term!!!

The Chinese do not want to be with the Government - just let it be !

‘Wish of the Chinese community not to be in govt should be respected’

Posted on April 19, 2011, Tuesday

KUCHING: The wish of the Chinese community not to have representation in the Barisan Nasional (BN) government should be respected.

The chief political secretary to the Chief Minister Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah pointed out that the community has voiced this out loud and clear with their strong support for Democratic Action Party (DAP) in the just concluded election.

“There should not be any “back door” entrance just to accommodate the Chinese community in the Cabinet.

“The Chinese community has voice out loud and clear that they do not want representative in the government, so we must respect their decision,” he said when contacted yesterday to comment on a suggestion to amend the law to enable the state government to nominate non-elected representatives from the Chinese community to sit in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

Perkasa Sarawak desak kerajaan jangan keterlaluan melayan tuntutan kaum Cina

The 10th Sarawak Election has confirmed on Chinese chauvinism and strong anti Malay/Pribumi stance

Anonymous said... in "Anak-Anak Sarawak have spoken..." :

The 10th Sarawak Election, had intentionally or unintentionally confirmed its naked Chinese chauvinism and unmasked its strong anti Malay and PriBumi stance.

If the Chinese is truly convinced that “championing one’s own community interests need not diminish another community’s interests is blatantly hollow in the Bumiputera Preferential “model””, and I do share the same, then did the Chinese similarly criticized the unconstitutional demands made by the various Chinese groups and political parties? A classical example was demanding Chinese language to be treated at par as the Malay language which is ultra vires Article 152?

Indeed almost all the requests made by the Chinese and Indian Communities (CIC) are at the expanse of the Malay and Bumiputera rights, for example, more places in the IPTAs, more scholarships, more jobs in the public sector which are enshrined in Article 153. Hence, the CIC must appreciate that the Malays and Bumiputeras feel threatened because of these perceived unreasonable demands; especially there is no reciprocity from the CIC such as more opening in the private sector, more places in UTAR and AIMST.

Are we, Sarawakians, to be conned by Anwar to give our votes to Semenanjung parties?

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a very amazing man who has a superb ability to convince people to believe what he wants them to believe.

Throw him to any where in this world, he would certainly survive. This is an undeniable fact which is known to all, especially those who are following his political career.

Joseph Jindey of DBNA should resign immediately !!!

Gasoul Rojae
: Pse post in people blog.DBNA is an NGO that is supposed to unite bidayuhs. The hope is that bidayuh will no longer have to refer to themselves as biBukar, biSadong, biatah, bratak and so on & so forth. Office bearers of DBNA should be the p...rime movers toward this objective. Tragically Joseph Jindey is doing the opposite. He is contesting & campaigning on communal bratak sentiment. He should resign from DBNA immediately. Pls forward this.

Baru is Anwar's talking puppet???

PKR state liaison chief Baru Bian is indeed a very nice person. In fact, he might be the cleanest politician in Sarawak with no skeletons hiding in his closet.

He has won the admiration of the rakyat with his persistency in fighting for the NCR land issues which are purportedly being taken illegally by the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.

pbb, prs dan spdp tak dapat nak lawan pkr dan pas.

BN will only have smooth ride to victories in 20 seats!!!

N1 Opar - SNAP has a fighting chance against the BN candidate.

N2 Tasik Biru - It would be a very embarrassing for the BN candidate to lose but it seems that a very slim majority in favour of the incumbent is in order

PBB will lose some of its 'safe' seats if the election is held today

Some PBB seats would see reduced majority if compared with the previous election if the disatisfaction over the candidates is not properly handled by the party.

However, if the frustration is really strong among the party members and supporters, PBB might lose some of the 'safe' seats.

SNAP: Why We Do What We Do

Tuesday, 29 March 2011

SNAP: Why We Do What We Do
By Paul Kadang, Director of Operations, Sarawak National Party (SNAP)

SNAP’s recent re-emergence to reclaim its place in the Sarawak political arena has sparked numerous allegations and prejudgements on the motives of the prime movers of the party’s re-vitalisation. Presumably made with good intentions, these prejudgements have been voiced out in the internet by political observers who seem to hold themselves out as being totally familiar with the present Sarawak political scene. Most of these, however, contain presumptions that have not been thoroughly examined.

Let me elaborate on the reasons and circumstances leading to SNAP’s re-emergence.

YB Dominique Ng Kim Ho has quitted from PKR today to contest as an independent candidate in the coming state election.

However, he is still undecided on the constituency - i.e. between Padungan and Batu Lintang.

List of PKR candidates

Dominique Ng, the only Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate who won in the 2006 state election, was dropped from the party's list of candidates in the election this time.

Aidil knows Sadong Jaya better than Haidel

A JKR divisional engineer Ir. Aidil Lariwoo had surprised many supporters of Ir. Haidel Heli when he was announced as the BN candidate in the Sadong Jaya constituency.

Many thought that Ir. Aidil Lariwoo would not harbour any interest to venture into politics because he was committed with this work.

Ripin pushed out Aidin with the help of JASA

Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Ripin Lamat had made a wise decision to make use of JASA to paint a bad picture about Datuk Aidin Wing.

He knew that the top leaders would receive reports from JASA on Datuk Aidin Wing's performance as well as the political scenario in the Lambir constituency.

Ripin Lamat should be given a pat on the back of his shoulder for the success in convincing JASA to give feedbacks to the top leaders that the constituents were not happy with Datuk Aidin Wing; and the constituency would fall into the hand of oppositions if Datuk Aidin Wing was to be renominated as the candidate.

He also managed to give an impression to JASA that he would be the most suitable candidate to replace Datuk Aidin Wing who is the Secretary General of SABERKAS which is headed by Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg.

Asfia's dream to be CM shattered by Abdullah

More than a year ago, he was a very influential person in PBB.

Although there was relatively nothing he could shout about his own constituency, this didn't stop him from being able to earn a favourable position in the eyes of the party president.

From time to time, he would be consulted on important matters especially pertaining to the party.

FLASHNEWS: The complete list of BN candidates

The announcement was made by Tan Sri Adenan Satem, on behalf of the State BN Chairman Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, at the PBB headquarters today.

PBB has 10 new candidates, SUPP (7), PRS (2) and SPDP (1).

FLASHNEWS: Larry Sng is not in the BN list !!!

The name of Pelagus incumbent Larry Sng is conspicuously missing from the list of BN candidates.

FLASHNEWS: Simoi is to defend Lingga afterall

The Lingga incumbent Simoi Peri could be the happiest BN candidate today when she was asked by the BN top leadership to defend the seat despite of that she has announced her desire not to seek renomination few days ago.

Who are the other two (or more) PBB YBs to be dropped today???

Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud is to make an announcement on the list of candidates today at 04:00pm today at the PBB HQ.

To-date eight PBB YBs have announced their intention not to seek renomination. Thus, at least two names to be dropped from the list because PBB is said to field at least 10 new faces for this state election.
