PBB Batu Kawa Branch Wanita wing not happy with Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim

KUCHING: The Wanita wing of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Batu Kawa branch thought that it had made a wise decision to turn its back on Cr. Mohd Hashim Yap in the recent party election at the branch level.

The fight for the chairmanship in the branch was ugly between the incumbent and Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim with both sides were throwing muds towards each other.

However, Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim emerged as the winner due to the support given to him and his group by Dato Sri Mohd Asri Awang Nassar and YB Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

KUCHING: This press release was issued by the Mohd Hashim Yap group after it was reported that the Supreme Council of Parti Pesaka Bersatu Bumiputera (PBB) had decided to regard Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim as the legitimate leader of the Batu Kawa branch. 

The Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud had taken a commendable stance in the issue when he decided to open the floor for thorough discussion and debate on the issue instead of asking members of the Supreme Council to agree to the recommendation made by the Legal and Constitution Committee (LCC) to accept Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim, who is his nephew, to be the legitimate branch chairman of PBB Batu Kawa.

During the deliberation, Dato Sri Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar and his cohorts, especially YB Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, lied to the Supreme Council by telling them that the Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim group was observing the party constitution in their efforts to wrest the branch from the Mohd Hashim Yap group.

KUCHING: A copy of this letter was given to the master mind of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Batu Kawa branch controversy.

When he was later approached by the Hashim Yap group, he pretended to support the group by accusing a state assemblyman, who later turned out to be his cohort, for causing the mess in the PBB branch.

But without the knowledge of the Hashim Yap group, he had used the PBB HQ to stop an effort to nullify the branch youth meeting.
