Suratkhabar besar kurang ajar kepada YB Datuk Amar Awang Tengah

Clean sweep prediction

Posted on January 28, 2013, Monday

PLANNING FOR NEXT ELECTION: Taib (second right) talks to his principal private secretary Datu Mustapha Han (third left) as Jabu (right), Abang Johari (fourth left) and others look on.
KUCHING: The final list of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) candidates for the next parliamentary election is still under wraps but the party is confident whoever it fields it will again make a clean sweep of all the seats it contests.
Deputy president II Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg when asked on the list yesterday said the candidates in the upcoming 13th general election would be announced by Prime Minister and Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting which was attended by most elected representatives of the party at the party’s headquarters here, he added the final decision on whether to retain an incumbent or switch them to other seats lies with the BN chairman.
“I cannot confirm whether the incumbent MPs will be retained, for the confirmation just wait for the announcement from the Prime Minister.”
Abang Johari admitted PBB might have problems in some constituencies but they are small and would not affect the party’s chances.
When asked on the situation in Batang Lupar seat, which was said to have encountered some problems, he replied: “No (big problems). Maybe have some small problems but they are nothing.”
Taib concerned about party’s preparation for upcoming election
On the presence of the party’s incumbent MPs at the meeting, he said it was not a surprise as they were supposed to be looking after their own areas.
“Since the meeting is about PBB’s preparation for the GE13, of course you will see the incumbents,” he said, adding that the meeting was merely to discuss on the mobilisation of party’s election machinery.
He added that PBB president Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, who chaired the meeting, was concerned about the party’s preparation for the coming election.
The meeting was also part of PBB’s preparation to brief Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on their party’s level of preparedness for the GE13.
In the last general election, PBB won all the 14 seats it contested namely Santubong, Petra Jaya, Kota Samarahan, Mambong, Batang Sadong, Batang Lupar, Betong, Tanjong Manis, Mukah, Igan, Kapit, Sibuti, Limbang and Lawas.
Among those who attended the meeting were deputy president I Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Alfred Jabu, senior vice-president II Dato Sri Douglas Uggah Embas and secretary-general Datuk Dr Stephen Rundi Utom.
However, senior vice president I Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan was not seen when the top leaders and incumbents left the venue.

End.

Norah bersedia pertahan Parlimen Tanjung Manis

Posted on January 28, 2013, Monday

Posted on January 24, 2013, Thursday

Pendedahan rancangan khianat Pehin Sri "work of outsiders and WITCHES" - YB Datuk Amar Awang Tengah

Awg Tengah considers allegations as malicious lies says

by Philip Kiew, reporters@theborneopost.com. Posted on January 24, 2013, Thursday
ELECTION PREPARATION: Awang Tengah (second left), flanked by Sum (on his right) and PBB Bukit Sari deputy branch chairman Puasa Pandin, at the meeting.
LAWAS: PBB senior vice president Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan yesterday dismissed allegations that he was plotting to topple Chief Minister Pehin
Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud as nonsense, wild and malicious lies aimed at splitting the party and state BN.
“My stand is the Chief Minister understands me best,” he said in Lawas yesterday when asked to comment on the allegations which first surfaced in Sarawak Report.
He pointed out that the foreign-based internet portal had churned out many reports against Taib, his family and his government which lacked credibility.
He said this when met by reporters after chairing an election preparation meeting organised by PBB Bukit Sari branch at Hotel Seri Malaysia yesterday.
Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong, who is also PBB Ba Kelalan branch chairman, was also at the meeting.
Telling people not to believe in the report, he pointed out that he had been in the forefront in persuading the chief minister to continue leading the state, and had been putting party hierarchy and unity as top priority.
To prove his point, he revealed that he voluntarily stepped down as senior vice president after winning the post in the party’s 1998 election.
“I have never lobbied for any position in the party and not even as election candidate, and that is why this report came as a surprise to me,” he added.
Stressing that there was no such conspiracy, he expressed surprise that local newspapers had picked up the story from the internet portal which had been incessantly attacking the chief minister.
“It makes no sense at all. The reports are not credible at all, and they just want to create issues and spin them to split and undermine the strength and unity of PBB,” he asserted.
The Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment said although he was not keen to respond to baseless reports he decided to clear the air as many were confused by the report.
He further said that he was committed to serving the people and was fortunate to be able to do so under Taib’s guidance and leadership ever since he was elected as state assemblyman in 1987.
On the party’s preparation for the general election, he said their election machinery was ready and members were raring to face it.
He also believed that Sum had a very good chance to retain the Lawas seat as he had been serving the people well.
“Henry has worked hard, is close to the people and has worked hard to resolve issues and needs of the people,” he said.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued in Kuching, Awang Tengah said he knew it was the work of ‘outsiders and witches’ who wanted to see PBB as the backbone of state Barisan Nasional (BN) split and weakened especially now that the general election was around the corner.
“I wish to state categorically that there is no such plot. I am always with and committed to our beloved chief minister through thick and thin.
“I am one of those people who want the chief minister to continue to lead the party, the state and the government and my colleagues in the party know this as a fact,” he said in the three-paragraph statement.

Pembongkaran rancangan Awang Tengah tidak benar

No plot to topple CM

by Peter Sibon and Geryl Ogilvy Ruekeith, reporters@theborneopost.com. Posted on January 22, 2013, Tuesday
JOYFUL BUNCH: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth chief Datuk Fadillah Yusof with students of SK Merpati Jepang after presenting the RM100 schooling aid to them.
State BN leaders brush off online report of conspiracy to oust Taib in next PBB convention
Datuk Dr Stephen Rundi Utom
KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) secretary-general Datuk Dr Stephen Rundi Utom rubbishes an online report that there is a conspiracy among senior members of the party to topple party president Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.
The Sarawak Report on Sunday revealed that it received an explosive dossier from sources close to Taib detailing a powerful conspiracy to depose him at the next PBB Party Convention, due in May.
The report alleged that the high-level defectors led by Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan would maintain a pretence of unity during the coming general election, expected in March, but had collected enough supporters, including Taib’s own close family members. to oust him in May.
Sarawak Report also said that the informers had passed the information to it “in desperation”.
The report also alleged that Awang Tengah had gathered 30 members of the state legislative assembly to take his side in the takeover of the state’s ruling coalition.
Dr Rundi said the news portal’s allegation was the opposition’s ploy to weaken Barisan Nasional (BN) in the state before the general election.
“Leaders from all levels are still solidly behind Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud to continue to lead the party. Even if he decided to leave we will convince him to stay on because he is the pillar of our strength,” Dr Rundi told The Borneo Post here yesterday.
The Assistant Minister of Public Utilities also stressed that the party’s tradition would ensure that there would be no struggle for power among its rank for the top post.
Meanwhile, PBB Youth chief Datuk Fadillah Yusof also refuted the allegation by saying that the public should not take the report seriously.
“We should not simply believe all the things reported in the Sarawak Report online news. The government has proven numerous times that reports published in the news portal were baseless and pure exaggeration,”
Fadillah, who is also Petra Jaya MP and Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, said this after presenting the RM100 schooling aid to pupils at SK Merpati Jepang here yesterday.
PRS president Tan Sri Dr James Masing, who was speculated to be appointed as a Deputy Chief Minister I in the alleged conspiracy, laughed off the report and assured that his party’s loyalty to Taib was unshakable and not transferable.
“The report by The Sarawak Report on PBB is pure speculation. I don’t want to get involved in other party’s affairs as I don’t want others to get involved in my party’s affairs. I consider interference into others internal affairs seriously. So I refrain from doing so,” said Masing, who is also Minister of Land Development.
SUPP Bengoh chairman Dr Jerip Susil concurred with Masing, saying he did not want to delve into such speculations.
“PBB’s affair has to be respected. The party has its own tradition to choose its own leader,” he said.
The Assistant Minister of Public Health said such speculations could undermine BN’s preparation for the fast-approaching general election.
“This is the time for all the BN component parties to come together for the general election and not a time to speculate this kind of serious issue,” he said.

New oil and gas find in Sarawak, will Pribumi Sarawakians get 5% or 3% only?

Petronas announces oil and gas discovery offshore Sarawak

Posted on January 18, 2013, Friday
KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas wishes to announce the discovery of oil and gas via the Adong Kecil West-1 well in Block SK333, onshore Sarawak.
The Adong Kecil West-1 well, located about 20 km northeast of Miri town, was drilled by JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration (Onshore Sarawak) Limited, the operator for Block SK333, together with its joint venture partner Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
The well was drilled to a depth of 3,170 metres and encountered a total of approximately 349 metres of net hydrocarbon thickness.
Two drill-stem tests achieved flow rates of about 440 barrels of crude oil per day and 11.5 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. Technical assessments are currently being undertaken by the operator to determine the resource volume of the field.
The Adong Kecil West-1 is the first onshore oil and gas discovery made in Malaysia, after a lapse of 24 years. The last onshore discovery was Asam Paya Field in 1989, also in Sarawak.
Based on the drilling results, there are also indications that the deeper sections in the onshore area may hold additional upside potential for hydrocarbon accumulation. However, with the higher borehole pressures expected, drilling operations will be more challenging for the deeper reservoirs and rigs with higher specifications will be required to test such intervals.
To-date, three discoveries have been found onshore Sarawak, namely the Miri, Asam Paya and now Adong Kecil West fields. These discoveries prove that onshore Sarawak has the potential for more oil and gas accumulations where the Miri Field, Malaysia’s first oil field, was discovered way back in 1910.
Further onshore exploration activities will be undertaken by the joint venture to support Petronas’ effort to rejuvenate the nation’s onshore oil and gas exploration. –Bernama

Siapakah civil servant ini?

Top Sarawak official under MoCS watch

Movement of Change Sarawak (MoCS) announced the setting up of an anti-corruption committee and already they are inundated with reports
KUCHING: The Movement for Change Sarawak (MoCS) is closely monitoring a top civil servant in the state who is allegedly living beyond his means.
According to MOCS’ anti-corruption committee, the officer has “big cars and big houses”.
“We have received information from whistleblowers about this civil servant’s big houses and big cars.
“We are still collecting more evidence and double-checking it before we release it to the public,” said Baharuddin Mokshen, the committee’s coordinator.
He said since forming its Anti-Corruption Committee on Feb 13, MoCS has been receiving numerous complaints from the public on corrupt practices committed by civil servants.
“We’ve opened a number of files for further investigation. We will do our utmost to get to the bottom of the complaints although they came mainly from whistleblowers,” he said.
Baharuddin said that in the past weeks, it had become clear that the people of Sarawak were in need of an avenue to turn to in reporting corruption.
“There are many citizens who are concerned with the rampant corruption around us.
“MoCS will provide that platform for the public who may feel more comfortable in reporting to an independent organisation.
“The movement is action-oriented and we will act. Whether it is big fish or small fish we will try to catch them all,” he added.
MoCS to meet MACC
Baharuddin said MoCS leaders will meet with the Sarawak MACC Commissioner on March 9 to clear a few outstanding issues with the anti-graft agency.
He said that about one year ago MoCS had submitted a thick report based on the findings by online investigative portal, Sarawak Report, alleging corruption and abuse of power by Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud.
Among the allegations were that Taib and his family own a number of properties overseas and have RM4.6 billion in corporate assets in 14 wealthy companies.
His family was also linked to 332 companies in Malaysia.
The MACC had initiated investigations into the report just before the state election.
“Now we want to know what is the progress of the investigations,” Baharuddin said.

Sebanaku prays recovery and health for Wong Ho Leng

Tumour detected during Australia trip — Wong

Posted on January 13, 2013, Sunday
REGARDS AND WISHES: Tiong (left) sharing a light moment with Wong.
SIBU: Sibu MP Wong Ho Leng said yesterday he found he had brain tumour when he and his family were holidaying in Australia.
He told a press conference here that his wife Irene Chang initially thought he was ‘heaty’ from eating too much durians, ‘dabai’ and rambutan when the symptoms first reared at home.
“I discovered the sickness when I could not swallow and I slurred in my speech on the flight to join my family in Australia.”
Wong, who is also state DAP chairman and Bukit Assek assemblyman, said the family holiday eventually turned into a medical vacation at the Gold Coast.
Last Dec 20, he said the neurosurgeons found glioma on his brain stems, and it grew on his ninth and 10th nerves.
“The glioma slurred my speech and impaired my swallowing functions. It has to be treated.”
A glioma is a type of tumour that starts in the brain or spine. Its most common site is the brain, making up 30 per cent of all brain and central nervous system tumours and 80 per cent of all malignant brain tumours.
He said after getting a second opinion from a specialist, he decided to have radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, beginning Jan 8. He said he would continue with this treatment for six weeks. Although the treatment had just begun, he said he could feel the healing process.
“I feel a lot better now. I am positive of full recovery. I know I am not walking alone. I am certain I can soar above the storms.”
Wong said he was not suffering any side-effects from the first treatment, except for rashes on his neck that developed from the radiotherapy.
“I was told I might be struck with an infection on the first five days, but I have the support from my family, friends, party members and supporters and the people.”
Wong recalled the worst day he had was on Dec 15 when he was attending the DAP assembly in Penang and had problems talking.
He attended the assembly only briefly as his family was waiting for him in Australia. They had left a day earlier.
“I was alone in the flight. I asked for a bottle of drink, but I could not swallow the water. I knew right there that something was wrong.”
Five days later, neurosurgeons broke the brain tumour news to him.
Wong said he chose to be treated in Singapore because all the specialists he spoke to had advised him so.
On his faith of a full recovery, he said, “I shall return to the state assembly next May, and, like in the last November sitting, I shall raise my voice to stress my points. I shall be back.”
During the press conference, PKR Sibu branch chairman Simon Tiong dropped by to give him moral support.

DAP rig election to pretend to Malaysians that it is multi-racial

Ridiculous’, Dr M says of DAP’s botched vote count

January 07, 2013
Dr Mahathir expressed incredulity over the counting error. — File pic
PUTRAJAYA, Jan 7 — The surprise amendment to the results of the recent DAP’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) election was today dismissed by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as a political ploy to fish for Malay votes in the coming 13th general election.
He said DAP was forced to rectify the official results of the CEC election announced last December 15 as all the eight Malay candidates lost in the contest.
Dr Mahathir claimed that DAP’s strategy of changing the results three weeks after the CEC election was just to hoodwink the Malays.
“It was not an error. The election was real but when the party found that no Malay was elected to the CEC, they blamed it on technical error (in the tabulation of votes).
“Don’t tell me they are that stupid to be unable to count the votes. If they can’t even do this, then they are incapable of governing the country.
“It (amending the results) is just a political ploy. It’s all so ridiculous. Actually, all the Malay candidates were not elected (to the CEC) at all,” added Dr Mahathir when asked to comment on the matter.
Earlier, he attended a dialogue with veteran members of the Malaysian Association of Youth Clubs at the Perdana Leadership Foundation building, here.
The Chinese-dominated DAP has been heavily criticised by several quarters when all eight Malay candidates contesting the CEC seats lost at the party’s
16th National Congress last month.
However, last week, DAP announced that there was a technical error in the counting of votes and amended the results. Political secretary to the Penang chief minister, Zairil Khir Johari, who was earlier announced to have lost, was found to have made it to the CEC. — Bernama

DAP manipulates and rigs elections

Abdul Karim: DAP election result a sham

Posted on January 9, 2013, Wednesday

Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah
SIBU: A PBB supreme council member Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the amendment to DAP’s election result to accommodate Zairil Khir Johari was a shame and unacceptable.
“How could his votes have ballooned from 300 to 800 votes after a recount and thus, placing him in the 20th position for the elected committee member smell of hidden hand orchestrating the voting.
“How could DAP, which has always fought for transparency, democracy and good governance, allow its own election be rigged and manipulated just to accommodate Zairil?
“Is DAP trying to hoodwink the world that it is truly a multi-racial party?
“Chong Chieng Jen, who got the fourth highest votes in that election should be able to answer this,” said Abdul Karim, who is Assistant Minister of Youth Development and Asajaya assemblyman.
According to media report, DAP found itself navigating in the sea of criticism after admitting to a party polls mistake and then reinstating a Malay candidate to the last spot in its central executive committee (CEC).
Karim added that the whole fiasco had led to the chairman for DAP election committee, whom he described as a man of principle, to tender his resignation.
“Actually, the whole DAP election  committee  should resign en bloc and call for re-election.”
Turning to Zairil, he said he should be graceful enough to decline that 20th slot and wait for an appointment into the central committee if his service was really needed.
“What a ‘thick face’ he has to be able to face DAP members, knowing full well that he is ‘unwanted’ and only ‘parked’ into the committee by unseen hands. Doesn’t he have any dignity and credibility left in him,” he said.

DAP blasphemes Election Commission but commits election 'irregularities' itself

TANJUNG MALIM: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassindescribed the DAP election error as "odd and extraordinary".
He remarked it was odd that all this while the Opposition had been accusing the Election Commission of not being transparent and fair, but had managed to make such an error themselves.
"I will leave it to the public to evaluate the party's integrity, transparency and capabilities.
"Even party members are questioning what happened. Lim Guan Eng must answer," he told a press conference after visiting Proton City here Saturday.

Only frustrated ex-civil servants join PKR - YB Karim Hamzah

Retired civil servants joining opposition hopeless lot’

Posted on January 6, 2013, Sunday
KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) supreme council member Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah has described retired civil servants who join the opposition as “hopeless lot”.
“These are frustrated former civil servants who are hopeless themselves when they were civil servants and are now trying their luck as opposition,” he said in a text message.
He was commenting on former Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) general manager Wilfred Landong’s announcement that he had joined Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
Karim said such retired civil servants would “get nowhere”.
“They (those who choose to join the opposition) will get further frustrated, and they will not pose a threat at all to BN (Barisan Nasional),” he added.
Wilfred had said he chose to join PKR because he fully subscribed to the party’s mission and vision.

Kanang tidak patut diberi Penghormatan Negara - Suara Pakatan Rakyat

Kanang Bukan Hero Sebenar -  Suara Pakatan Rakyat
