NEWS FLASH - The Launching of PAS' election machinery

Last night a symbolic launching of the election machinery of Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) was performed during the party's Hari Raya open house at Sadad Court at Jalan Kulas/Patingan.

The party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang presented the party flag to the party new state commissioner Adam Ahid.

Hours earlier, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and Adam Ahid dam had attended a meeting with the party members to officially 'activate' the party's election machinery for constituencies which the party is to stand.

During the open house, there was no announcement on the constituencies which the party  is to stand in the state election but it is understood that Beting Maro and Sadong Jaya are two of the constituencies which the party would field candidates.

At this stage, the actual number of seats to be contested by the party are yet to be known but it is certainly less than the figure earlier mentioned by its former secretary Saidin Massudin Sahini - i.e. more than 20 seats.
