KUCHING: “Assistant Planning and Resource Management Minister Mohd Naroden Majais has denied claims that he would not stand in the next state polls” – this is the first paragraph of the news published in The Borneo Post on August 27, 2010, Friday.
He was also quoted: “I believe those creating such baseless stories were people with the intention to pull us down. Saying that I will not contest is just one of it. Some people even accused me of getting a second wife and all sorts of funny, funny things but it is not a surprise.”
“All these are aimed at bringing us down by smearing our good reputation, but for as long as we are innocent there is nothing to worry. Moreover this is not the first time such accusations are directed against me, including other elected representatives. This happen every election and most of us are so immune to it already.”
Many would be wondering who is (are) the culprit(s)?
The oppositions are not the only party that is eager to get rid of YB Mohd Naroden Majais in DUN Simunjan because a former Barisan Nasional (BN) Member of Parliament is also very keen to do that.
The reason is he wants to make a political come back - via DUN Simunjan which is one of the state constituencies under the Batang Sadong parliamentary constituency.
The former MP was dropped from being the BN candidate in 2004 general election – and the seat was given to Tan Sri Adenan Satem to contest.
The reason for his name to be struck from the candidate list is the voters in the constituency were sick of him.
After lying low for about five years, he believes that the voters would forget what he had done.
He is now actively spreading rumors to anybody who is willing to listen to him that YB Mohd Naroden Majais is going to be dropped as candidate in the coming state election.
The ambitious former MP is One of the Millionaires in Sesco.
It is a good opportunity for YB to retire and take care of his many businesses. More than enough to last a few more generations.
ReplyDeleteI don't agree with you bro! YB, Minister of Entrepreneurial Development is not an entrepreneur himself. He is just kangtau earner, meaning without power he cannot do business, therefore, he need to be in power to take care of his many businesses! You ask him what is a business plan, surely he will say don't know!
