PRESS STATEMENT by Mukah divisional Land and Survey Department on the Bruit issue

by Sebanaku Sarawak

KUCHING: Mukah divisional Land and Survey Department claims that there is no overlapping of claims between the Kampung Bruit residents and Poh Zhen Sdn Bhd with regards to state land applied for the oil palm plantation business.
If this is true, then why the villagers were making noise as if their 'land' was being taken by the company which is said to be linked to Rimbunan Hijau, Dato Sri Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar and YB Norah Tun Rahman?

Both the villagers and company did send their inquiries to the department - and it is true that there is no overlapping of claims then why can't this matter being resolved months ago?

Why the divisional department - and also its director Datu Sudarsono Osman - only revealing the truth now?

Or, may be there is no truth in the claim that there is no overlapping of claims onto the state land.
