New parties won’t last the distance — BNBBC chief

SIBU: New political parties, still being a blurred entity with fragile political vision and mission, would find it an insurmountable task to be accepted by the people.
State Barisan Nasional (BN) Backbenchers Club (BNBBC) chairman Abdullah Saidol did not discount the possibility of their lifespan being short.
“Therefore, I am confident that the emergence of new political parties in Sarawak will not affect BN’s position in the state.
“People are now more matured and able to objectively analyse the political ideologies and sincerity of a political party in managing their welfare, development of the state and defending the sovereignty of the country.
“Political parties in the state BN component understand and work together in moulding the political direction of BN,” Saidol, who is Semop assemblyman and chief political secretary to the Chief Minister, noted.
He was asked if BN would continue to be people’s preferred brand amidst the emergence of new political parties in Sarawak.
Five newcomers, namely Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras), Parti Bumi Kenyalang, Peace Party and Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru (PBDS Baru) and Parti Ekonomi Rakyat Sarawak Bersatu (PERSB) had entered Sarawak’s political arena.
Saidol was uncertain if these new parties would be BN-friendly or adversaries.
He pointed out that the integrity, strength and influence of a political party depended on the history of its inception, and later through a maturity process in shaping a certain culture as well as a unique political formula accepted by way of consensus amongst its members.
“The key factors deciding the sustainability, relevance and credibility of a political party also depend on the wisdom and stature of its leaders and unity among members,” he said.

ReplyDeleteWahai Lai Katong,mengapa PBB tidak disebut. Saya dengar PBB kawasan kelam kabut iaitu N.37 Daro termasuk juga N.38 Jemoreng- jemoreng ada 2 kumpulan. Dua hari yang lepas mesyuarat perwakilan N.37 Daro berhijrah ke Sibu,mengapa lari kekawasan lain,takut ahli-ahli nak bertanding kah. Saya juga dengar borang-borang disimpan,ahli-ahli nak bertanding,mereka kata tak ada borang tetapi mengapa orang mereka ada mengisi borang. ADA KAH INI ADIL!!! Mereka tak tahu perlembagaan PBB kah,tidak patut,semuanya orang lama
DeleteDi N.38 Jemoreng semuanya dibuat secara tertutup..kalau tahun 2009 Mesyuarat di adakan di Kingwood Resort Mukah...tapi untuk tahun 2013 ini di buat di Rang Kesao Resort ( tempat kediaman Dtk Wahab ) di Kuala Matu...yang pada mula di rancang untuk di adakan Dewan Kpg Tian tapi bertukar tempat di saat2 akhir...munkin kerana faktor fobia kepada kumpulan poco2 ..mana hilangnya semangat wira Dtk semasa hentam Dtk Asfia di Dewan Kpg Tian dulu..???.
ReplyDeleteDi N.38 Jemoreng ...semuanya d buat secara tertutup...tahun 2009 diadakan di Kingwood Resort Mukah..dan tahun 2013 ini di adakan di Rang Kesao Resort ( rumah kediaman Dtk Wahab ) yang pada awalnya di rancang untuk di adakan di Dewan Kpg Tian Matu ...tapi di tukar di saat2 akhir...mungkin kerana faktor fobia kepada kumpulan poco2 ...dimana kah hilangnya semangat keberanian Dtk Wahab semasa menghentam Dtk Asfia di Dewan Kpg Tian dulu..???
