In Lawas, Henry Sum is in a three-cornered fight with Dr Baru Langub (DAP) and Ali Rahman Kamseh (STAR).
Earlier, Awang Tengah said BN fielded new faces in every state and parliamentary elections, giving opportunity for new candidates to shine and share their knowledge and ideas.
“We are keen to give a breath of fresh air to the party to ensure our struggle to serve the people remain relevant,” he said.
He added that the mixture of experienced and new faces within the party gives a sense of dynamism, which will be the pillar to success.
Meanwhile, Santubong BN candidate Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said PKR may have no idea how to manage Sarawak as they are very much peninsula-based.
