Tengah blasts online news portal for trying to create rift between him and Taib

Surat khabar thestar
KUCHING: Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan has blasted the online news portal Sarawak Report for pitting him against Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud in order to create disunity in PBB.
The Resource Planning and Environment Second Minister said he gave all his support to Taib, who is PBB president, to continue leading Sarawak to greater heights.
Quashing the allegation by Sarawak Report that he was leading a plot to topple Taib, Tengah said: “I am a leader who has full respect for our political culture and I do not have the ambition to go further as I am contented to carry out whatever task is given to me by the top leadership.”
“Honestly, I was totally caught by surprise when I found out about the report and so were all those implicated in it. It insinuated that there are problems in PBB. So this a ploy to create disunity in PBB. This is not my culture in politics. (And) since when has Sarawak Report ever given good report about Sarawak and her leaders?”
The minister said Sarawak Report was all about making assumptions and baseless criticisms against the Sarawak government and its leaders.

Taib Mahmud: MACC doesn’t deserve my co-operation

The long-serving Sarawak chief minister was cast into the international spotlight last month after an environmental activist group released a video documentary alleging the state Barisan Nasional chief to have received millions of ringgit in kickbacks over land deals that have denuded the Borneo state.
“They don’t deserve my co-operation because they have been naughty... and they have not been honest,” Taib told reporters after attending a Barisan Nasional leadership meeting here.
Taib said he was not afraid of being investigated by the anti-graft body.
“Let them victimise me... I am not scared”

  1. MACC, your salaries are paid by tax payers. It is your duty to proceed seriously invetstigating Taib failing which no one trust your agency anymore. Is not Taib already belittling you by calling your agency as "naughty" and "dishonest"? Selagi Hamid Bugo who is a partner in crime sits in MACC's Board of Advisors, Taib will never be investigated. I am a strong supporter of BN Sarawak but I could not take it more on the issue of corrupted Taib and his ministers who are his partners in crime.

  2. You should be scared old man. MACC please proceed with your investigation. I, too a Sarawak BN supporter, particularly PBB. My greatest wish is that this greedy old man will leave the party right after GE13. You and your family have been stealing too much from the Rakyat.
