KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) deputy president Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg has described Sadong Jaya assemblyman Datuk Wan Wahab Wan Sanusi as an excellent party member who has contributed a lot to the Barisan Nasional (BN).
As a matter of fact, stressed Abang Johari, the assemblyman had stood steadfastly with BN in a number of political crises in the state.
“He has the intention of withdrawing (as BN candidate for Sadong Jaya) and we (PBB leadership) have been informed,” he told reporters when met at Kampung Kudei Lama yesterday.
He was asked for comments on Wahab’s shocking statement in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) yesterday when he said he would decline to defend his seat in the next state election.
On Wahab’s replacement, Abang Johari, who is also Housing and Urban Development Minister, said he did not know.
