KUCHING: Special Advisor to the Chief Minister Office Datuk Amar Adenan Satem reproached the Bukit Assek state assemblyman Wong Ho Leng for being rude to the SUPP leaders.
He said the Sibu voters didn't vote him for his rude behaviour especially when he insinuated Datuk Wong Soon Koh after he won the Sibu parliamentary by-election.
Ho Leng was reported to have said that his victory to win Sibu as his birthday gift to Soon Koh.
Adenan pointed out that Soon Koh and the BN candidate Robert Lau congratulated Ho Leng at the vote counting center at the Civic Center.
Ho Leng intercepted and defended himself for insinuating Soon Koh.
He said both Soon Koh and Robert Lau did go to see him but he had to make the efforts to meet them.
Nevertheless, Ho Leng admitted that they did say congratulation to him.
At this point, Soon Koh intercepted and said the congratulatory remarks were sincere.
Soon Koh said he whispered to Ho Leng that his burden now is getting heavier and the Sibu denizens are putting their hopes on him.
Adenan, who is the Tanjung Datu state assemblyman, also berated Ho Leng and his cohorts for behaving as if they had won the general election when as a matter of fact they had just won a by-election.
He pointed out that Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is still the prime minister and the opposition YBs are still seated on the left of the DUN Speaker.
"...BN still governs the state ..." he said when debating the motion of thanks on the Head of the State Address.
