THE BIDAYUHS MUST ACT FAST !!!

naBy Sebanaku Sarawak

SIBU: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) has to pester the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to make an announcement on the appointment of Datuk Richard Riot Jaem as the new Deputy Minister of Transport before the by-election on this May 16.

Or …

… the Bidayuhs could forget about their leader to be appointed to the cabinet post.

This is the best time to pressure SUPP because if the party won the by-election, even with a whisker, it would surely forget its promise to the Bidayuhs.

They will start to yam seng all nights and their mind would be clouded by the victory in the just concluded by-election.

When this happens, the SUPP leaders would start to treat the Bidayuhs the same way it treats the Ibans (read as the Bumiputera) in Sibu.

As a matter of fact, the Bidayuhs are going to lose if they think that SUPP is going to keep its promise to the community.

Asked their Dayak or Bumiputera brothers who are staying in constituencies by which the YBs are Chinese.

All of the stories would have the same theme – i.e. being sidelined or ignored.

Therefore, if the Bidayuhs don’t want to miss the opportunity, then now is the best time to pressure the party to get Najib to announce Richard as the deputy minister.

However, the Bidayuhs could not do this alone without any assistance from its Bumiputera brothers in Sibu.

And the Bidayuhs could not expect its Bumiputera brothers in Sibu to assist if they do not ask for their assistance.

The best way to convey this message is when the Bidayuhs are campaigning in Sibu under the pretext of helping SUPP to get the supports from the Bumiputera.

And the Bidayuhs from all state BN component parties must sing the same tune or it is going to send mixed signals to their Bumiputera brothers.

They need to tell their Bumiputera brothers that don’t vote for SUPP until Najib announced that Richard is the deputy minister of transport.

In return, they could promise them that Richard could assist them by bringing some development projects into their area.

Do this in the spirit of the Bumiputera brotherhood ... if the Bidayuhs want to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Good luck brothers in spirit !!!
