There are rumours that General Manager of SEDC Datu Dr Sulaiman Hussaini has been appointed as the new SEDC chairman after the state election.

Meanwhile the chairman Datuk Talip Zulpilip is rumoured being appointed as an advisor.

If the rumours turned out to be true, we wish to congratulate Datu Dr Sulaiman Hussaini.

Jamaludin, is it true that you said it is normal for SEDC to give empty promises???

Jamaludin, is it true that you are the one who said "janji staff SEDC semuanya janji mulut, janji kosong ajak, sik boleh di pake!"???

If it is true, then it is a very shameful admission that SEDC has a culture of giving empty promises to the rakyat!!!

And, if it is true, the Chairman Datuk Talip Zulpilip has to go for allowing (or may be championing) the culture to exist in the organisation which is supposed to honour all of its promises to the rakyat.

Lastly, are you the one who told the BUMIPUTERA entrepreneurs to pack their things and move out from Kubah Ria???

Where are the BN/PBB YBs who have been approached by the Kubah Ria tenants?

Thank you Nurhanim.

Apparently you have the guts to demand SEDC to listen to the Kubah Ria tenants.
Where are the BN/PBB YBs who have been approached by the tenants?
Why are they quiet?
Don't they know that the state election is just around the corner?
Or they are still sleeping?
Or they are confident that the issue will have no impact on their chances to retain their seats?

Only committed entrepreneurs will get SEDC aids, says Talip

SEDC Takes Strict Stand In Disbursing Entrepreneurial Aid

MIRI -- The Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is taking a strict stand in providing entrepreneurial aid to ensure that only those committed to their ventures receive the aid.

Its Chairman, Datuk Talib Zulpilip, today said there had been a number of people who had received assistance from SEDC and had failed to succeed due to a lack of commitment and discipline towards their business.

"I know there are people who would not be happy with this but we had to do it because we want them to be successful," he said when closing the Young Entrepreneurs Programme (YEP) here today.

The 'high' rental rate stays! Troublemakers are to be kicked out!!!

Utusan Borneo Oktober 31, 2010

Is The Rental Rate Too High???

Why can't SEDC reduce the rate?

Some of the comments on the high rental rate charged by SEDC:

(a) Anonymous commented in "Is SEDC still helping the Bumiputeras?"

Pasal gerai baru di Kubah Ria. Dolok bila pecah tanah pihak SEDC kata sewa gerai sik mahal, sekitar RM250 - RM300sebulan ajak. Nak tolong bumiputera.

Tapi apabila dah siap tok, cuba kitak tanya dengan sidak yang berniaga di sia

Lain pula sewanya dengan sewa yang mahal disekitar RM350 - RM450/RM700 sebulan. Maacam ney nak nolong bumiputera. macam nak bunoh orang jak.

Cuba fikir sikit, mun nak nulong orang sewanya mesti munasabah dengan keadaan adakah di sia kuat laku ka sik. Jangan fikir macam ney nak ngambil balit modal molah gerai baru ajak. Nak nama nulong tok sik perlu fikir keuntungan gilak.

Is SEDC still helping the Bumiputeras?

Dear Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) Chairman Datuk Talip Zulpilip,

Some of our readers have expressed their concerned on the role of SEDC in helping the Bumiputeras in business/economy.

We do hope that SEDC, under your chairmanship, could address the matter without delay.
