Mengapa setiap kali hujan lebat SK Jalan Muara Tuang dilanda banjir kilat semenjak 2-3 tahun kebelakangan ini? Keadaan ini menganggu proses pembelajaran murid-murid yang bilik darjah mereka teletak ditingkat bawah sekali.

Shahrir, thanks for the RM1 million but where is your apology?



Dear Datuk Seri Shahrir Samad,

Thanks for the RM1 million aid promised for Pulau Bruit. We are sure that the Pulau Bruit folks are happy with the news on the aid.

However, sadly, you failed to apologise to Pulau Bruit folks as well as Sarawakians for describing "90 peratus daripada mereka (the Pulau Bruit folks) kebuluran (acute or chronic hunger)" in your statement dated on 2010/09/03 in a national newspaper.

Datuk Amar Abang Johari will be the Chief Minister?

KUCHING: When local newspapers published the news on the appoinment of Dayang Madinah Tun Abang Haji Openg as a senator, many were wondering why the Pesaka wing of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) didn't object.

The reason being Dayang Madinah Tun Abang Haji Openg who is from the Bumiputera wing was taking the senatorship quota for the Pesaka wing.
She is to replace Dato Sri Empiang Jabu whose term expires on July 11 after serving for two terms.

DUN Sitting (Day Six): Sarawak Foundation Aid For All Sarawakians, says Fatimah

KUCHING -- All the people of Sarawak are entitled to educational opportunities and aid from the Sarawak Foundation, with priority given to the low-income group in accordance with the academic achievement of the student, the state assembly was told Monday.

Minister in the Chief Minister's Office Datin Fatimah Abdullah said RM30 million had been allocated for educational aid schemes such as scholarships and loans from the school to the tertiary institution level.

"The government wishes to see the Sarawak Foundation, through various educational initiatives, create a knowledgeable and competitive generation capable of fulfilling the manpower needs of today and the future," she said when winding up debate on her ministry.

She said the offer of educational aid also took into account the courses attended, with priority given to meeting the critical needs of Sarawak such as engineering, quantity survey and land survey, and post-graduate professional education offered by the Yayasan Biasiswa Sarawak Tunku Abdul Rahman (YBSTAR).
