KUCHING: It may sound intriguing but the fact is that SNAP is technically still a BN component party because they were never “kicked out” of the coalition.

However, state BN secretary general Dr Stephen Rundi Utom said for SNAP to be re-admitted into the BN, it has to re-apply as their re-entry into the BN cannot be automatic.

“The reason is that SNAP was deregistered in 2002 and its re-entry into the BN could not be automatic as they need to re-apply after they won their case against the ROS’s decision to deregister the party,” Dr Rundi told The Borneo Post here yesterday.

He added that even though SNAP had re-applied to join the BN just before former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad relinquished his post in 2004, the BN supreme council could not re-admit the party as it was still entangled in court proceedings then.

BN will only have smooth ride to victories in 20 seats!!!

Adun BN Sarawak mungkin terlalu yakin dengan pencapaian diri dan kawasan masing-masing, bukannya bercakap bohong.

KUCHING: Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (Adun) Barisan Nasional (BN) Sarawak yang bertemu dengan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Ahad lepas bukannya bercakap bohong tetapi mungkin terlalu yakin dengan pencapaian diri dan kawasan masing-masing.

Naib Presiden Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Datuk Haji Daud Abdul Rahman berkata, mereka bukanlah ‘bercakap bohong’ seperti yang dilaporkan dalam sebuah akhbar tempatan bahasa Melayu Isnin lalu.

“Wakil rakyat (Adun) kita mempunyai penilaian mereka sendiri dan begitu juga dengan Perdana Menteri. Ada diantara mereka berkeyakinan tinggi dengan pencapaian di kawasan di wakili.

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president Joseph Pairin Kitigan has countered opposition criticism that the Umno-led Barisan Nasional government has reduced local politicians and communities to mere by-standers.

“Everyone in BN has been working hard together for the people,” said Pairin, who is Deputy Chief Minister and also Infrastructure Development Minister.

He said that claims by the opposition that leaders from the Kadazandusun Murut communities were at a disadvantage in the BN were nonsense.

Lessons Of The PKR Debacle

Lessons of the PKR Debacle (Tweets by Sarawak Headhunter): 

1. Practise what you preach. If you don't, your hypocrisy will be on show. If you can't, stop preaching. 

2. Don't talk about reform if you can't reform yourself first. 

3. What you require of others, expect others to require of you. 

4. Don't pretend to be a saint if you are not. You will be found wanting when called to account. 

5. Pretending all is well when it isn't is a sign of self-delusion attempting to perform mass delusion.

We can't trust politicians from BN and PR???

I do not hide my disappointment and disgust with Malaysian politicians and Malaysian politics.

I feel we can no longer trust politicians from both sides of the political divide.

It may be time to take back power from the politicians and give it to the people.

But how do we do that? I don’t know.

Sebagai penaja kempen "Save Sarawak From Malayans", kami ingin menyatakan kekecewaan kami dengan sejelas-jelasnya dengan tulisan tuan yang bertajuk "Kisah Wan Mokhtar, Taib Mahmud, samakah?" yang jelas cuba untuk campur tangan dalam hal-hal politik Negeri Sarawak yang kami cintai ini.

Kami, yakni rakyat Sarawak, tidak memerlukan sebarang tunjuk ajar dari encik atau mana-mana 'bijak pandai' dari Semenanjung untuk menilai mana-mana pemimpin Sarawak sama ada dari pihak Barisan Nasional ataupun Pakatan Rakyat.

Biarkan kami, orang Sarawak, membuat penilaian kami dengan cara kami sendiri.

Dan biarkan kami mengambil keputusan sama ada untuk mengekalkan atau menukar mana-mana pemimpin Sarawak.

Diharapkan tuan tidak lagi mengecewakan sebilangan besar rakyat Sarawak yang secara 'implicit' or 'explicit' yang mendokong gerakkan kempen "Save Sarawak From Malayans" ini dengan cuba berlagak menjadi tuan besar dari Semenanjung dan beranggapan rakyat Sarawak tidak mampu untuk membuat keputusan mereka sendiri tanpa campurtangan dari tuan-tuan besar seperti tuan.

Akhirkata, Selamat Hari Malaysia ...

Bahkan sekiranya tuan besar bersetuju kami boleh carikan 1,000 orang yang benci mana-mana pemimpin Sarawak yang tuan besar benci dan 1,000 yang menyokong ataupun (memuja) mana-mana pemimpin Sarawak yang tuan besar puja. DUN Sitting (Day Five): DAP’s Chiew and Voon invited to join ruling govt

BOTH Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi (BN-Pantai Damai) and Liwan Lagang (BN-Belaga) have unanimously invited opposition members Chiew Chin Sing (DAP-Kidurong) and Voon Lee Shan (DAP-Batu Lintang) to be a part of the ruling government.

They believed that Chiew and Voon could further ease the implementation of development projects planned for their respective constituencies.

Dr Rahman said he had looked up to the Kidurong assemblyman whom he described as a gentleman with manners and laudable character.

“It would be great if the member for Batu Lintang could emulate his counterpart from Kidurong to make this honorable assembly more orderly so that we all can work as a team for mutual benefit,” he said when debating on the Supply (2011) Bill 2010 yesterday. 

Dr Rahman said the disciplinary action taken against Ting Tze Fui (DAP-Meradong) should serve as a reminder for the opposition bench that no one would escape any inappropriate action or words uttered.
