Tan Sri Adenan Satem, on behalf of the BN State Chairman Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, announced the names of the BN candidates for the coming state election at the PBB headquarters today

Dr Annuar moves out Datuk Awang Bemmee

Dr Anuar Rapaee is almost certain to be the PBB candidate for the Nangka constituency in the coming election when his 'challenger' Dato Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah has announced today that he would not seek renomination.

N49 Nangka: DR versus SYED

The defeat of the Barisan Nasional candidate in the Sibu by-election last year, had kick-started the initiative to look for a possible candidate to replace Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah.

Although the oppositions were quick to claim that it was the strong dislike for the Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud by the Chinese voters was the main cause for the defeat, some PBB leaders disagreed with this view.

DUN Nangka: Is Dr. Annuar Rapee to replace Awang Bemee in the coming state election?

KUCHING: A Health Ministry staff Dr. Annuar Rapaee is a new name being mentioned by some netters in the facebook as a possible candidate to replace Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah as the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) candidate in the coming state election.

Dr. Annuar Rapaee is said willing to accept an offer to contest under the Barisan Nasional (BN) ticket should the party leadership wants Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah to give way to him.
