THE SUPPLY (2011) Bill, 2010 and the motion to refer the Resolution  of the Estimates of Development Expenditure, 2011 was passed by the  State Legislative Assembly (DUN) yesterday.
Budget 2011 which was tabled by Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib  Mahmud on the first day of the DUN sitting on November 1 was passed  after it was read for the third time by Second Finance Minister Dato Sri  Wong Soon Koh.
More than 30 members of the august house participated in the debate  on the Bill throughout the sitting, including members from the  opposition bench before it was finally passed.
Taib, who is Minister of Finance, when presenting the budget, said  that Budget 2011 was expected to generate a budget surplus of RM60  million.
It was the second meeting of the fifth session of the 16th DUN  sitting, and could be the final for some members as the next state  election could be called soon.
The motion to adjourn the sitting was read by Assistant Minister of Rural District Councils John Sikie Tayai.
